Wolfgang Zankl (www.zankl.at) is a professor at the departments of Private Law and Comparative Law at the University of Vienna, former Dean of the Law School at the Private University of Liechtenstein and founder/head of the european center for e-commerce and internet law (www.e-center.eu), the largest global network for IT-law operating in Berlin, Brussels, Hong Kong, London, New York and Vienna. He is chairman of the advisory board of the ky-center for social media law (Vaduz), foundation member of the Computer Ethics Society (Hong Kong), advisor to governments, companies and law firms and author of 12 books and 200 other publications mainly covering e-commerce and IT-law. He has been teaching courses and given German, English, French, Spanish and Russian lectures amongst others in Beijing, Boston (Harvard), Casablanca, Dubai, Frankfurt, Hong Kong, Jerusalem, London, Moscow, Singapore, Tianjin, Tokyo, Santiago de Chile and Zurich and developed several law-related online-services (such as www.checkmycase.com). He stands for an unrestricted internet (“freedom of exchange of information, said Wolfgang Zankl“, New York Times) and is a Marathon-, Arctic- and Antarctic-Runner (www.arctic-antarctic.at).
